The dream of the committee is to create a linear park along the banks of the Quinnipiac River that will offer recreational access to all citizens. The park will wel-come the young and the old, the bicycler, the skater, the hiker, the canoer, the fisher-man, the walker, the casual stroller and the serious athlete the physically challenged, mothers, fathers, and nature lovers of all kinds. It is our dream that just as it was to the native Indian tribes that lived along it 500 years ago, the Quinnipiac will once again tie together our villages into a strong cohesive community.
