(Apr,
2006) Maureen
Campbell, Vice President of Corporate and Relocation Services
for H. Pearce Real Estate Company recently earned her Global
Mobility Specialist Designation (GMS™).
GMS™
training addresses the intercultural challenges of conducting
global business. It is critical for global workforce mobility
professionals to study the social, cultural, economic and
legal issues that impact the areas in which companies do
business. The GMS program provides a framework for professionals
to raise their awareness of the factors that impact mobile
employees, to understand and address the issues and challenges
that employers face in identifying and recruiting talent,
and to identify resources and build skills for today’s
demanding workplace. Those who earn the GMS™ designation
arm themselves with tools and data that help them understand
the issues and needs of participants in the relocation process
and raise the level of professionalism in the global workforce
mobility industry.
The GMS™
, a training –based designation, was developed by
Worldwide ERC®, the association
for workforce mobility, to educate those who work with mobile
employees in the U.S. and around the world. Worldwide ERC®
provides leadership, advocacy, education, and networking
to global workforce mobility professionals and stakeholders
through specialized training, credentialing, meeting events
and information exchange.
Campbell is
also a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP™) and
has been active in the Relocation Industry for over 25 years.
